Fields of Purple
It was a beautiful summer's day (Remi's Birthday in fact) - the sky a vibrant blue with not a cloud in sight. Today was perfect for exploring!
Mayfield Lavender Field - just a skip away in Surrey was awash with shades of pastel purple, and we were instantly taken away to a magical fairyland...
An easy drive from London, abundant parking, and just £1 entry per adult, you can't miss out on this dreamy location!
But my favourite thing about the fields? You weren't alone as you roamed amongst the bushes...
The place was brimming with the cutest furry bees! But don't worry, they were completely immersed in their own world to even bother you, so completely harmless.
As if the luscious fields of charming lavender weren't enough, there were also delightful props placed throughout the field, (who would have thought you'd find a red telephone box here?!) this truly was an Instagrammer's fantasy!
Maybe it was the soft scent of lavender which lulled us, or maybe it was the warm rays of the sun, but by 2pm we were ready for a break and settled down for a late lunch, choosing from firm British favourites with a lavender twist such a lavender tea and scones with lavender jam. Unfortunately, we munched it all up before I could take a photo...
Capturing the final shots as the sun set, we took one final look back as we drove away from the most idyllic scene we'd ever laid eyes on!
Mayfield Lavender Field is open 7 days a week from 9.00am - 7.00pm from June 1st to September 15th, and can be found at 1 Carshalton Road, Banstead, SM7 3JA.
