Autumn Fair - Take 2!
To make the most of the event, we decided to come up a day early to spend a few hours exploring the exciting city that is Birmingham - and it didn't disappoint!
Arriving in Birmingham New Street Station, we were thrown straight into the hustle and bustle.
Of course, first paying a visit to every shopper's paradise - The Bullring. Yes, I totally had to queue for my opportunity to take a photo with the bull but it was worth it!
Nearby, we appreciated the beauty that was St. Martin in the Bullring. I loved the stark contrast of the Bullring's modern architecture adorned in 15,000 aluminium discs compared to the Church's Grinshill stone - old and new, side by side.
The place was a hub of activity - people enthusiastically shopping, grabbing a quick coffee, playing ping pong on the outdoor tables and from around the corner you could hear the call of the market stall owners...
The Bullring Markets - selling everything you could ever imagine from huge sacks of fluffy pillow stuffing to fresh fruit and vegetables - the energy was infectious!
With shopping done, we settled down for food at Wagamamas and thought it was best to head home for an early night's sleep.
Back at the hotel room, I prepared my Autumn Fair outfit (a cute little number from Fashion Union and Kurt Geiger shoes - got to dress to impress!) and practised my presentation one more time.
Up bright and early the next day, we took a cab to the National Exhibition Centre. As soon as we arrived at the venue, I could feel the buzz - the Autumn Fair attracts some 27,000 visitors every year.
Excuse the blurriness - I was a cocktail of nerves and excitement!
Once checked-in, I took a moment to marvel at my badge - seeing "Superpeach" and "VIP" together on the same piece of paper really meant so much to me!
Arriving at the theatre nice and early, I could see my name on the boards, leaflets and TV screens - I swear no matter how many times I see it I'll always get a rush of excitement!
I made sure to run around like a goofball taking selfies with all of them.
Prior to being introduced on stage, I was really nervous (despite having practised, practised and practised some more), only to be reassured by the wonderfully friendly staff who work at the Fair, but once on stage, I loved every second especially as the audience was amazing!
It feels fantastic to share what I've been working so hard on and I feel so grateful to be able to tell my story.
After the presentation, I spent some time exploring the venue - 5 halls filled with 1400 exhibitors, there was so much to see and do! The Autumn Fair also serves as a great place for me to get inspiration for Superpeach as the place is brimming with plenty of fun and flirty products.
Then I made my way to the Speakers' Lounge and took a moment to admire it in all its pink glory! Here, we sat for coffee and sandwiches so I could catch up on Superpeach's social media, before heading back to the station for the train back to London.
A massive thank you to all my friends and family who sent in good luck messages - they mean the world to me and of course, to the Autumn Fair for giving me the opportunity to do this!
